Freys Hotels News #2, September 2010 WELCOME TO FREYS HOTELS NEWSIn order to maintain contact with our guests, we have created a newsletter that we will send out on a regular basis. We will inform you about what's going on at the hotels as well as provide you with various tips and offers. Here are today's news:
RENOVATION IN PROGRESSAfter the total renovation of Hotel Lilla Rådmannen we are happy to announce that Freys Hotel is next! We will refurbish the rooms with completely new designs, including new wallpaper, curtains, pillows and bedspreads. Six new designs are planned, and you can get a preview of these on our website.

CHRISTMAS & NEW YEARS AT FREYS HOTEL!For the first time ever, Freys Hotel, the oldest and largest of our three hotels, will be open throughout Christmas. Come stay at our cozy hotel and enjoy Stockholm at it's finest - with seasonal markets, Christmas decorations and ice skating in Kungsträdgården. Or why not come and party over New Years? Double room, breakfast, Christmas platter, "glögg" (mulled wine) and coffee from 870 SEK/person!

OUR NEW FRIEND BJÖRNBjörn is a Swedish name which means bear. This is the reason why we have named our new teddy bear "Björn". Björn is a very big and cuddly teddy bear who can be found sitting in an armchair in the lobby. He's collecting e-mail adresses for guests that wish to receive our newsletter and participate in a draw where the lucky winner will win an overnight stay with a 2 hour sightseeing in a limousine! The winner will be announced on the 14th of December. For each e-mail adress we receive, we will donate 1 SEK to Ersta Diakoni, a non-profit organization that works for youths. They have recently opened a new hospice for children, where very ill children, some terminally ill, can experience peace and love together with their families. Hopefully their last days on this earth can be filled with joy. Please help us spread the word about Björn and the hospice! Our teddies keep on working

BELGOBARENFreys Hotel's in-house restaurant Belgobaren serve food and drinks with inspiration from the Belgian culture. The Belgian mussels (moule marinère) with a Gueuze lambic beer is a culinary combination not to be missed. Belgobaren will serve Traditional Swedish Christmas food from Nov 15 until Dec 26. You can also book a complete Christmas smorgasbord for a special event (min 30 pers). |

The Christmas platter from our restaurant Belgobaren is a mix of classic favourites associated with Swedish culinary traditions. Served from Nov 15 - Dec 26.
Our ordinary teddies, the ones we keep in the rooms, are always charming the guests in hope of getting new owners. The surplus of the sales will as always go to charity - this year we have chosen Ersta Diakoni as the charity organization. Besides the work with the hospice above, Ersta Diakoni is working for youngsters in a way we feel warrants recognition. Read more about Ersta Diakoni on their website -
